Bigg Boss Telugu: The Latest Verified Finale Story, and Why Tonight’s “Episode” Needs a Fact Check
Published Thursday, August 20, 2026
The night’s biggest twist is outside the house
If you arrived looking for a fresh Bigg Boss Telugu episode recap, there is an important correction before the drama begins: current searchable coverage does not verify an on-air Bigg Boss Telugu episode on Thursday, August 20, 2026. The latest clearly dated, independently reported result I could confirm is the Season 9 grand finale, which aired Sunday, December 21, 2025 and was reported by The Indian Express on Monday, December 22, 2025.
That finale had the shape of a full-season climax. Kalyan Padala defeated Thanuja Puttaswamy, Demon Pavan, Emmanuel and Sanjjanaa Galrani. Kalyan took the trophy; Thanuja finished runner-up. The finalists also rejected a ₹20 lakh suitcase offer, choosing the title race over an immediate exit payout. Demon Pavan had earlier taken a ₹15 lakh walkout offer, leaving the cash prize at ₹35 lakh before the additional sponsor award described in the report.
What the confirmed finale tells us about audience sentiment
The available audience signal was not an official live vote table. It was a pre-finale SCREEN poll on X reported by The Indian Express: Kalyan led that poll with 64.6% of 1,006 votes, while the article’s text also reports Thanuja at 54%, a figure that appears inconsistent because the percentages are not mutually exclusive. That is why this should be read as directional sentiment, not as an official vote count.
Fan discussion quoted in the same live report offered competing explanations: some praised Kalyan’s visible improvement, calm image, captaincy and Ticket to Finale timing; another fan argued that performance and public relations shaped the result. Those are opinions, not verified production facts.
Adi Reddy remains a primary review source for this audience. His channel’s video archive includes a finale-era review titled “Kalyan Padala Won | Bigg Boss Telugu 9 | Adi Reddy | Ticket To Finale” and a voting-results review titled “New Twist Im Voting”. The accessible pages confirm the videos and titles, but do not expose a reliable current transcript or a verified August 20, 2026 episode result. Accordingly, this post uses Adi’s published review coverage as sentiment context, not as proof of a new episode, elimination, or vote percentage.
The takeaway for voters
The real story tonight is the difference between a lively social-media claim and a confirmed episode detail. Do not treat recycled Season 9 clips, unsourced “breaking” vote graphics, or a reviewer’s prediction as an official result. When a new voting window is officially active, support your contestant through the voting page and follow the stated rules and deadline.

FAQ
Is there a confirmed Bigg Boss Telugu episode for Thursday, August 20, 2026?
Not in the current sources checked for this post. The latest clearly dated result confirmed here is the Season 9 finale from Sunday, December 21, 2025.
Who won Bigg Boss Telugu Season 9?
The Indian Express reported that Kalyan Padala won, with Thanuja Puttaswamy as runner-up.
What does Adi Reddy’s analysis say about current voting?
Adi Reddy’s archive contains Season 9 finale and voting-review videos, but the accessible pages do not provide a verifiable current transcript or an official August 20, 2026 vote tally. We therefore do not attribute an unconfirmed current result to him.
Is the 64.6% figure an official vote result?
No. It was a SCREEN poll on X reported by The Indian Express, not an official Bigg Boss voting result. The report also presents a second percentage for Thanuja that is not directly comparable, so it should be treated cautiously.
